A letter to MVPs
I do not have space in my soul right now to have people in my life, who are not family and/or friends. This is the reason I don’t have domestic help. Everyone who knows about this (they usually find out because I show up somewhere with Keyo, and they ask why I didn’t leave him at home), tells me the same things, ‘wow, Kitt, you’re so strong’ ‘Kitt, you’re superwoman’ ‘How do you do that?’ ‘And with two children?’ All the people who tell me this are women, and many are mums themselves. It is to them that I write;
You are the MVP, the Mum Very Powerful!
You are the one dealing with someone else’s emotions, quirks, excuses and mistakes
You are the one with the patience
You are the one with the space in your soul
I applaud you.
For your willingness to teach and instruct, on an almost daily basis.
For the space in your house that you share and don’t have access to.
For the room in your family that you create.
For the sacrifice of peace and freedom that you make.
For the wrongdoings that you forgive, again and again.
For your stolen property that you forget and let go.
For your misused water, gas, electricity and groceries, the cost of which you cover.
You are strong. Much stronger than me. I am regaining my strength and one day, I will join you again. That day is not yet here.
